(They can be incredibly destructive to gardens and will obliterate newly planted trees. They also tend to eat native plants and ignore invasives in the woods, which then overtake their place and upset the ecological balance. This then leads to resource scarcity, the deer go further from the wilderness and cross highways and that is usually not a pretty result)
